What’s so special
The Omega Geneve 166.070 is a vintage wristwatch that was produced in the 1970s. It has a round, stainless-steel case with a diameter of about 35mm and a thickness of about 11mm. The case has a screw-down back, and the bezel is made of stainless steel. The watch has a beautiful blue sunburst dial with polished hour markers and hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. It is powered by an automatic Omega Caliber 563 movement and has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. It is considered a classic, stylish watch with a timeless design.
Why SWC loves it
That dial is stunning! A gorgeous deep blue sunburst that looks better in person than in photos. The way it plays with light is so difficult to capture and must be seen to be appreciated. Plus the Omega Caliber 563 is a unique movement featuring Omega’s excellent finishing for the period and a quick-set date by pulling the crown all the way out to position 3. Also, at 35mm the case-size wears wonderfully especially on small to medium sized wrists.
